The books are awesome and beautiful, but I need to send them back. I had a large order including other items for Mother’s Day. All 2 sets I ordered were packaged in a bag, so, needless to say, they were all damaged by UPS. LARGE orders with heavy books need to be packed in a box. I did receive an email saying they would replace them and they don’t except damaged items back. They are very accommodating and helpful.

I was skeptical about books written to accompany a T.V. series. I wondered what they could possibly have to offer in addition to what the series already so eloquently presented. My extended family has been in the book business all my life so because of my love of the printed page, I decided to order volumes 1 & 2. They were on sale so I didn’t figure I had much to lose. I read the bio on the author first and was nicely surprised. Not only is he Dallas’ father, he’s a best selling author with over 200 titles to his credit. That’s really something! So, I dove into the books. I couldn’t put them down! As soon as I finished the first, I started volume 2. They are amazingly accurate to the script and story, but more importantly, they add the subtle nuances of the character’s thoughts that I mostly missed while watching the shows on T.V. Well done sir! I can’t wait for the completion of the 3rd season so I can get that book as well. ❤️

Have seen Season 1&2 over and over again, plus leading 2 different classes. I encouraged my ladies to just sit back and enjoy the dvd the first time and share what they picked up, saw and heard, what was different from preconceived ideas, characters. My ladies were so taken with Matthew that they requested to study the gospel of Matthew to continue our time together. It’s the time when we usually break for the summer, BUT they want to keep going!
I’m enjoying the books now! The thing that I find interesting is, the “thoughts”of the characters!

I am reading Season 1 online and I loved it so much that I ordered the bundled set of hardback books for Season 1 and 2. There are several reasons I am disappointed with these books. First, the tense in which it is written makes it almost read like a script. There isn't as much background depth as it has been implied the books would have. And, I don't like that the books aren't the same uniform size.
